Words of Peace : “Whithin you is the most amazing feeling you can possibly imagine... and I can show you a way to get in touch with it.” — Prem Rawat
The mayan cosmovision is a value system that interprets and relates the world, life, things and time ; it is also the explanation and how to size
the Universe and Nature. Through the Tzolkin (Cholq'ij), the Cosmovision links the human beings with all the elements around them, with the visible
things and the forces that we can only feel. It is a philosophy of life that encourages material wealth but also the satisfaction or fullness of spirit.
The Mayan Grandmothers and Grandfathers,
(the ancestors), bequeathed us a worldview, a set of principles and values that allows us to understand that
"everything is connected", from the spiritual to the physical-biological, shaping the eternal unity between humanity and nature.
(Calendario Maya C.C.A.M. 2013)
Spirituality is related to plants, to animals,
and humans, these beings are part of the human being, they are not isolated
things. Plants and Man are the same, there are elements of the plants within the nature of man, and in man there are elements
of a plant, so it is an interaction and also a relationship with the other elements in the same way, therefore mayan
spirituality is part of their own Cosmovision.
The Sacred Calendar is also in sync with
our own body. The human body has 13 main joints and 20 fingers total. So we can
consider the energy generated by the combination of 13x20 as the genetic heritage of our galaxy.
"To stay healthy we need to understand the cosmos, love nature and feel part of the universe."
Surely, for this beautiful pattern, we could continue to cultivate significant relationship between knowledge, politics and
daily life. Without love there can be no real knowledge, the exercise of political solidarity is impossible. Without love,
relationship cannot grow everyday.
"All together we are part of a large ecological balance ; we have no right to break it, because it means the end of man on Earth. We are called to respect and defend the Earth, which is to affirm the fundamental right of everyone to life." (We are part of a great balance. DEI 1986) (C.C.A.M. Mayan calendar 2011)
The cosmovision of the Mayan people is a way of life, an attitude and approach to life, and is how we learn to live with our
perceptions of reality. (...) Nothing is isolated from the stream of life ; every act has a relationship and integration between
the cosmic forces, the manifestation of nature and earth energy. We are the product of this convergence. It arises from the
universal consciousness and existence is a continuity. Our involvement with reality is a mystery, but it is a magical manifestation,
the force of the Creator. The interrelationship of the Underworld-World-Overworld, manifests energy and each one has a direction
and ownership that results in a specific trend.
"We are inhabitants of a reality with the Cosmos as model. We vibrate relative to the movement of the stars, it only exists in the Najt and disappears at the time that the Katunes circle (the spiral of time) ends/stops. Life-changing/evolution is the pass through this endless road. Breaking this movement is to find the negation of existence, stop time is to find other realities and this is achieved in sleep or in the absolute stillness.
"Sadly humanity is divided by a difference of view to interpret the world, the human being, his reason for life and destiny. Western culture found its answer in a form of material reasoning while the Eastern world has been developed on the basis a natural thought. (Don Isidro, Mayan wise)
