B’atz’ is the thread. The thread of time. The thread of destiny. In
this thread are written all the events of time, the events occured
all through the 5200 years of the long count ; here is written the history of
the peoples. B'atz' as well is the thread or umbilical cord, the one which links
us to the belly of our mother when we are being born. B'atz' as well is the
thread with which our clothes are weaved, beautiful huipiles which are the
clothing of identification of the peoples, and which bear a lot of their history.
That day B’atz’ was established in order for the destiny of each one of us to be
fulfilled. The one born on that day, has as his vocation to become an Ajq'ij,
or spiritual guide. He will be a good spiritual guide, a messenger ; he
will lead a long life. The gifts which he possesses, that the Ajaw has manifested
to him in his life, will be all the material that he possesses in
order to heal at a material level and at a spiritual level.
In the requests of this day, we ask for a good life for all
the creatures we all are, on the face of the Earth.
